We’ve just discovered this pub despite living in the area for years. The building is beautifully quirky. The food was delicious, the portions huge and the welcome very friendly. The kids food was especially impressive with the usual kids fare cooked to a very high standard (keeping my son happy) and the option of small portions from the adult menu suiting my more adventurous daughter. We will definitely be back soon

Had a lovely family meal at the Gloucester Old Spot on Saturday 20th July. Good food (all locally sourced … loved the statement in the ladies loos; see attached). Staff nice and friendly, especially the gentleman who served us our meals with a few jokes and a smile. Worth a mention – we had one 5 year old child with us and he had the Fish Goujons children’s meal which looked and tasted delicious.

The country local comes of age – a model for today’s country pub. Good Food Award and Real Ale Award
