We thought we would save you the job of contacting us by answering some of your FAQs. If we haven’t covered something, please do get in touch!
We want to sit in the garden as the weather is meant to be nice, is this ok?
We have invested a lot into our garden spaces over the last few years and they have never been so inviting. We are currently taking reservations for our sheltered barn.
We want to come for a drink, can we just turn up, or do we need to book?
We have plenty of tables to have a drink at, and these are allocated on a first come, first serve basis, therefore we do not take reservations to visit us just to drink.
We would like to bring our dog with us, is this ok?
Dogs are welcome in the bar and pub garden. We have sheltered tables available if the weather isn’t particularly good. Please let us know when reserving you table that you are bringing a dog with you.
A member of our party has specific dietary requirements, are you able to cater for these?
We take all dietary requirements and allergens very seriously here at The Gloucester Old Spot. Please make sure you let us know when booking of any specific dietary requirements.
Are there accessible bathroom facilities?
Our accessible toilet facilities are located in our bar area. Due to the nature of our old building, some of the flooring can be uneven and there are slight steps. Please let us know when booking so we can ensure our ramp is available for your arrival.
There are more than 6 of us in our party and we cannot book a table online, what do we do?
We are always happy to accommodate larger reservations however ask that you contact us directly on eat@thegloucesteroldspot.co.uk or 01242 680321 so that we can explain any pre-orders that we may require or deposits.
We are hoping to get to you before your kitchen opens, is this ok?
Although the kitchen opens at set times, the pub is open from 11am-10pm so we would be more than happy to welcome you in!
We are bringing a range of ages, is this ok?
We offer a delicious children’s’ menu and can sometimes offer smaller meals for older guests with smaller appetites. If you require a highchair with your reservation, please make a note of this in the special requests when booking. Children in high chairs do not need to be included in the number for the reservation, however we only have a limited number of high chairs therefore do ask that you make us aware the need when booking.
We want to book in and dine with you but the time we want isn’t available, what do we do?
We can only allow so many visitors to dine during certain time intervals. If the time you wish to visit is unavailable, our website will show the next best availability for you.
How long do we get at our table?
The length of time allocated per table is based on the number of guests within the party. The time that we require the table will be stated when you reserve your table.
We would like to book a motorhome stopover with you, what do we do?
We allow motorhome and campervans for overnight stopovers on our car park. We do ask that you contact us via email prior to visiting to ensure we have the availability. We do not charge for a stay, as we have no facilities or hook-up, however we do ask that you use our pub for drinks or some dinner.
