Yes! We always have delicious vegetarian and vegan options on our festive menus.
Do you serve Christmas Day lunch?
We do not open on Christmas Day, but our festive menu is available throughout December leading up to the big day. We will also be closed on Boxing Day to give our hardworking team a well-deserved break – we look forward to welcoming you back from 27th December.
Is your pub family-friendly?
Absolutely. We offer a dedicated Children’s Menu and a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere for all ages.
Will Christmas gift vouchers be available this year?
Our popular Christmas gift vouchers will be available to purchase in the run-up to the festive season. They make the perfect present for food lovers in Cheltenham and Gloucestershire, with denominations of £10 and £25 to suit every budget. Vouchers can be redeemed against food and drink at The Gloucester Old Spot, and if you use them in January 2026, you’ll also enjoy an extra 10% off your bill.

Do you serve a special menu on Sundays in December?
On Sundays throughout December we serve our traditional Sunday menu. Our Sunday menu features our famous Roast Turkey with all the trimmings, followed by a classic Christmas Pudding for a festive finish.
Can I book a group for Sunday dining?
Absolutely. We welcome groups of up to 14 guests on Sundays, making it the perfect choice for a cosy family gathering or a festive catch-up with friends.
Charity Christmas Quiz – Tuesday 23rd December 2025
Our Charity Christmas quiz in aid of The Butterfly Garden
Join us on Tuesday 23rd December 2025 at 7pm for our annual Charity Christmas Quiz. The evening will feature five rounds of festive trivia, a delicious two-course menu, and a charity raffle packed with fantastic prizes. You can expect plenty of laughter and festive cheer throughout the night.
The cost is £32 a head and we are now taking registrations for teams of 2 up to 6 guests. We do require a deposit to secure team spaces, and a pre order of menu choices. We will be starting at 7pm prompt so please arrive in plenty of time.
