Wife’s birthday celebration so we and wife’s son went to the Gloucester Old Spot. We’d booked online about a week before. The evening went very well – good company, good food and great service. We all decided on the chargrilled beef steak with chips, veg and peppercorn sauce. It was beautifully cooked and served, and the table service throughout was prompt and attentive but also friendly throughout. We were going to try the Sticky Toffee Puddings but, in fact, found our steak first course so filling we simply couldn’t manage a pud!
A great night out! (In fact, the dining room seemed full – obviously others felt the same).
The ‘Old Spot’ is our regular ‘tried and tested’ venue for a celebratory family feed. They’ve never let us down.

Dropped in without a booking able to fit us in with a table for two. Food superb obviously cooked by a chef he knows what they are doing and at very reasonable prices for quality food. Highly recommended will be returning soon. Thank you to all the team.
